FAQ - Fiddleheads Consignment

When can I drop off items for consignment?

Consignment drop offs are accepted between 11-3pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays for smaller items. We will review and post your items to your account within a week. For items that we are unable to consign, we will call you to come them pick up. Furniture and larger items must be pre-approved to be sure we can sell them for you. Please email us a few photos of each item along with information on manufacturer and condition.

Who sets the selling price of items?

Prices are set at fair resale market value. Fiddleheads sets the selling price of all items based on several factors such as age, condition, quality, manufacturer, our expertise of the resale market, and your input. Please understand if we cannot accept some of your items for consignment.

How do I consign items with Fiddleheads?

Furniture and larger items must be approved via photograph before drop-off. Please email us photos for evaluation along with any information such as manufacturer, age, condition, etc. For more information on consigning, please visit our CONSIGN page.

Why should I consign?

We take pride in providing an alternative way to sell your quality furniture and home goods whether you're moving, downsizing, merging two homes, or simply redesigning a space. We focus on getting the highest value possible. Consigning is an easy way to make quick cash! All you have to do is drop off your items and we take care of the rest: pricing, displaying them in our shop, photographing, and marketing them online.

Do you pick-up or deliver items?

While we do not pick-up or deliver items directly, we can help you make arrangements with a third party for the pickup/delivery of larger items. Prices for this service will depend on the vehicle, distance, and labor required.

What items don't you accept?

Items that we do not accept for consignment UNLESS they are antique, vintage, or collectible:

Clothing or Luggage (except designer brands)
Appliances, pots and pans
Partial sets of dishes, glasses, or flatware
Toys (unless vintage)
Exercise / sports equipment
Textbooks, hardcover or paperback novels
Everyday kitchen items
Video / audio tapes, CDs
Dolls
